CareCredit Desktop Tool Update

CareCredit has updated its website! To take advantage of all the great new features of the site you’ll need to register your practice, and update your Desktop Tool.

Please follow these steps:

Create an Account:

Step 1 - Visit and select Register Now

You will need:

  • Your Merchant ID, which can be found at the top of a recent merchant statement.
  • Your Practice Code or the Bank Account Number where your CareCredit funds are deposited.

Update the Desktop Tool:

Step 2 – Update the Desktop Tool

Note: If you use CareCredit inside your PMS software, do not install the desktop tool.

  • Close the CareCredit Desktop Tool.
  • Select Provider Resources from the blue navigation menu on the home screen of the new site and then click on Desktop Tool.
  • A new window will open with a download prompt. Click Download

When registration is complete, and you’ve successfully updated the CareCredit Desktop Tool, you will notice the new CareCredit Desktop Tool icon on your desktop.

  • You will need to disable pop-up blockers in order for the tool to function correctly. If you are using Internet Explorer, select Tools, Pop-up Blocker, then Pop-up Blocker Settings to do so.

  • If you have the CareCredit Desktop Tool on multiple computers in your office, please follow step 2 to install the update on those computers as well.

  • 48 hours after registering for the new site, your access to the old site will be shut down. All of your historical activity and reporting will continue to be available on the new site.
