How is CareCredit different from my other bank cards?

Save your consumer credit cards for household or unplanned expenses! Unlike your Visa or MasterCard, CareCredit is exclusive for healthcare services and you can get No Interest if paid in full within the promotional period* financing every time you use it†. If you need more time to pay for your procedure, you can take advantage of our Extended Payment Plans: 14.90% APR and Fixed Monthly Payments Required Until Paid in Full** on purchases made with your CareCredit credit card. Fixed monthly payment amount based on repayment over 24, 36, 48 or 60 month period. Purchases of $1000 or more are eligible for a 24, 36 or 48 month offer and purchases of $2500 or more are eligible for a 60 month offer. Is CareCredit an insurance policy?

No. CareCredit is a credit card. You qualify on the strength of your credit history. It does not replace insurance policies. Instead it's meant to help you pay out-of-pocket healthcare costs that are not covered by your insurance policy.

I'm not sure I want another credit card. Why do I want CareCredit?

CareCredit is designed specifically for your healthcare needs and wants, but once you've applied you can use it repeatedly for anyone in the family including your pets. Because it is not meant for all consumer purchases you can manage your out-of-pocket medical costs more efficiently while enjoying No Interest if paid in full within the promotional period* financing (for at least 6 months and perhaps more depending on plan) each time you use it. In addition there are no up-front costs, no pre-payment penalties, and no annual fees.

My doctor offers a No Interest if paid in full within the promotional period* Payment Plan, so why is there an interest rate listed in the application?

All purchases qualify for No Interest if paid in full within the promotional period*. You can get a No Interest if paid in full within the promotional period* payment plan if paid in full within 6, 12, 18 or 24 months on purchases with your CareCredit card. Interest will be charged to your account from the purchase date if the promotional balance, including optional charges, is not paid in full within 6, 12, 18 or 24 months or if you make a late payment. Minimum monthly payments are required.

You will only pay the interest rate as listed on the application page if you do not meet the terms of the promotion. You will only pay this interest rate if you do not pay off your account in full during the agreed upon time period or you do not make the minimum payment on the account when due. For complete details please read the Terms and Conditions within the application.

Is No Interest if paid in full within the promotional period* the same as no interest and no payments?

No, during the No Interest if paid in full within the promotional period plan, you will be required to make at least the minimum monthly payment on or before the due date shown on your monthly statement. If you do not make at least the minimum monthly payment, your account will be in default. If your account becomes 60 days past due, promotion may be terminated early, accrued interest will be billed, and regular account terms will apply.

If I don't pay the full amount by the end of the term, will I only have to pay interest on the remaining balance?

No, finance charges (interest) are calculated on this purchase in the same way as a standard purchase (daily periodic rate multiplied by the daily balance). However, these finance charges are deferred (not added to your balance) for the length of the No Interest if paid in full within the promotional period* plan. Although they are not added during the term, the total amount of the finance charges will continue to increase until the balance is paid in full. If you pay the total balance (amount of the purchase) on or before the final due date of the No Interest if paid in full within the promotional period* term, provided by your CareCredit provider, you will not be required to pay any of the finance charges. If you do not pay the total balance (amount of the purchase) on or before the final due date of the No Interest if paid in full within the promotional period* term, all finance charges that have been deferred (calculated, but not added) will be added to your account balance. You will be required to pay all of the finance charges from the original purchase date and purchase amount.
